STERLING TO WORK WITH "YOUTH SPEAKS" IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Sterling will be traveling to Washington DC July 14th-19th to work with Youth Speaks' production team on "Brave New Voices 2008", The 11th Annual International Youth Poetry Slam Festival.  Over 45, international, youth poetry teams, almost 500 youth, will participate in writing workshops, forums, competitions, protests, concerts and more at some of DC's most historical locations including The Smithsonian, The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Theater, The Capitol Building, Lafayette Park and George Washington University.  HBO will be on hand to film the whole festival for an upcoming HBO Def Poetry documentary!!

14TH NORTH BEACH JAZZ FEST

Join Sterling as she will MC several shows at the 14th Annual North Beach Jazz Festival in San Francisco's historical North Beach District.  Alistair Monroe and the fellas at Sunset Promotions are expanding the festival to a full week this year at hot spots in and around North Beach including 2 free days of music in Washington Square Park.

As Sterling celebrates 20 years in Bay Area Radio, her latest assignment puts her in the high profile afternoon drive seat on the heritage San Francisco smooth R&B station.

Sterling was born in San Francisco's #4 radio market, and she has no intention of leaving any time soon.  Counting her high school and college radio years, three years at KSOL, 10 years at CBS's Alice@97.3, and just over a year at "Pure Dance" KNGY, Sterling is well into an impressive career, and KBLX is an exciting and natural progression.
